How do you measure your belt size?
-
Using a belt you wear now (most accurate)
- Lay it flat. Measure from where the buckle meets the leather to the hole you use the most.
- That measurement (in inches) = your belt size (then order the paired range that contains it).
-
Using body measurement
- Measure around where you’ll wear the belt (waist or hips) over clothing.
- Add 2" to get your belt length, then order the paired range that contains it.
-
Using pant size
- Men’s pants usually need +2". Thicker denim/high rise may need +3".

What size belt should you order?
Find your pant waist in the first column. The “Size to order” column is the size you add to cart. (Belts are sold in paired ranges, not single sizes.)

Bellvari belts are sold in seven paired ranges — 28"–30", 32"–34", 36"–38", 40"–42", 44"–46", 48"–50", 52"–54". Six lengths (31, 35, 39, 43, 47, 51) fall between ranges; if your belt size lands on one of those, size up. Exchanges are free for 30 days. The 28"–30" range is not offered on every model — check the size selector on the product page.
Do dress and casual belts size differently?
Dress belts are worn higher (true waist) → the pant+2" rule usually holds.
Casual belts over thick denim can need pant+2–3".
Fit tips
- If you’re between holes on your favorite belt, measure to the comfortable hole and size to that.
- Quality full-grain leather will relax slightly with wear; it shouldn’t require new holes if sized correctly.
- Avoid punching extra holes near the edge.
Care basics (keep size stable)
- Let the belt rest between wears; rotate if possible.
- Wipe dust/salt; condition lightly every few months.
- Do not soak; avoid high heat. Store flat or hanging.

What if my belt length falls between two ranges?
Size up. Six lengths — 31", 35", 39", 43", 47" and 51" — sit between Bellvari's paired ranges. A 35" belt length means you order the 36"–38". The 7-hole span gives you 3" either way, so the fit still lands near the middle hole.
I switch between high-rise trousers and mid-rise denim. One belt or two?
If there’s >~1.5" difference in circumference, consider two belts for clean center-hole fit in both outfits.
Can you shorten a belt?
Often yes (from the buckle end). Lengthening isn’t recommended.
How many holes do Bellvari belts have?
Standard models: 7 holes at 1" (2.5 cm) spacing (check the product page).
Does leather stretch?
Full-grain relaxes slightly with wear; correct sizing prevents over-stretch.
