Flip-out ID flap.
Clear vinyl window. Pulls away from the wallet body on a leather tab. Your ID is readable without removing it from the slot. At TSA, it stays in the wallet. One-handed presentation.
Without: standard ID windows require you to remove the ID entirely — or show the whole wallet.

Standard card width. New leather is firm; breaks in after the first few weeks of use. Bills fold flat behind both panels.
Without: stretched-out card slots in cheap bifolds let cards slide out mid-reach.

Four slots on the left inner panel. Total: 8 card slots across both panels. Most people carry 4–6 cards comfortably. At 8 cards the wallet is full but functional.

Saddle-stitched at the spine. Stitching is load-bearing, not decorative. The cream thread contrasts against the warm chestnut leather — visible evidence of the hand-finishing.
Without: machine-sewn lock-stitch fails from one broken thread; saddle-stitch holds even if one thread breaks.

Press your thumb into the surface and the impression shows as a lighter mark before it fades back. That's the oil-tan character. No two wallets are identical — the grain pattern is the original hide, not sanded or corrected.

Leather cracks or splits, a seam fails — we repair it. If we can't, we replace it. Wallet and keychain, for life. The pen isn't covered.
The warranty follows the wallet, not the receipt — a gift recipient is covered and deals with us directly. Normal wear and patina are features, not failures; misuse and water damage aren't covered.

What's in the set, exactly?

Does it come gift-wrapped?
The matte-black box with velvet insert is the gift presentation. It arrives sealed. You do not need to add wrapping — opening the box is the moment.

Which colorway should I pick?
Crazy Horse is the warmest and most expressive — it develops a deep patina over time. Darker Brown and Black are cleaner, work in professional settings, and are lower-maintenance. Navy Blue reads clearly blue in daylight and near-black indoors. Black is the most wardrobe-neutral — it disappears into any setting. If you want the most character over the years, choose Crazy Horse.
Is the ID window actually clear?
Yes — clear vinyl. Your ID is readable through it without removing it from the wallet. The flip-out tab means you can show the ID without taking the wallet out of your pocket.
How many cards does it actually hold?
8 slots total — 4 per inner panel. The slots are firm when new and break in after two to three weeks of daily use. Most people carry 4–6 cards comfortably. At 8 cards the wallet will be full but functional. Cash folds flat behind both panels.
What pen is included?
A slim ballpoint. Black barrel, chrome clip and tip. It writes smoothly and holds position in a shirt pocket. The pen isn't covered by the leather warranty, but if it arrives faulty we'll replace it free within 30 days.
Is the lifetime warranty real?
It covers manufacturing defects and construction failure for the wallet and keychain — for life. The warranty stays with the wallet: the recipient is covered, not just the buyer. They contact us directly; no original receipt required. The pen is not covered under the leather warranty.
Does the warranty transfer to the gift recipient?

What's crazy-horse leather?
Crazy horse is an oil-tanned full-grain leather. During tanning, the hide is saturated with oils and waxes. The result: when you press or scratch the surface, the stressed area lightens (called pull-up). Over years of carry the whole wallet develops a patina — deeper at the edges and fold lines, lighter where it's handled less. No two wallets age identically.
Is the Navy Blue actually blue?
In daylight: clearly blue — deep, saturated navy. In low light or indoors it reads close to black. Hold it next to the Black colorway and the difference is visible. If you need something that is always legible as blue, check our lookbook shots of the Navy in natural light.

What if they already have a wallet?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery in original condition. The gift box can be returned unopened or carefully re-sealed. Contact us at hello@bellvari.com to start a return.
Is this made in Canada or just designed in Canada?
Cut, stitched, and finished in our Mississauga, Ontario workshop. Four craftspeople. The leather is cut on-site, stitched by hand at the seams, and inspected before boxing. Not designed here and made elsewhere.
What's the difference between the full-grain claim here and other brands that also say full-grain?
Full-grain means the top surface of the hide is intact — not sanded, buffed, or corrected. Some brands use the term loosely for corrected-grain. The pull-up response in the Crazy Horse colorway is a reliable indicator: press your thumbnail into the surface and watch the impression lighten and recover. Corrected-grain leather does not do this.
Is the leather chrome-tanned or vegetable/oil-tanned?
The crazy-horse leather is oil-tanned — a process distinct from both standard chrome tanning and traditional vegetable tanning. The hide is saturated with oils and waxes, which produces the pull-up character and makes the leather more water-resistant than vegetable-tan without the chemical load of standard chrome tanning.
